Preparatory Bulgarian language courses for foreign students
The Department of Language Teaching conducts preparatory courses in general Bulgarian and Bulgarian for specific purposes for foreign applicants to Bulgarian universities. The courses conclude with a written and oral exam before a committee. Foreign citizens who are already proficient in Bulgarian may opt to sit for these exams without attending a preparatory course.
Successful candidates are awarded a certificate of completed course in general Bulgarian and Bulgarian for specific purposes, which is a mandatory requirement for foreign citizens to enroll in the first year of university studies in Bulgaria. This certificate is issued based on a template registered with the Ministry of Education and Science. The certificate is specific to university admission and does not replace the certificate of Bulgarian language proficiency at B2 level on the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
Course Fee: The fee for the preparatory Bulgarian language and specialized training course for foreigners is €3,000.
